First, I was looking at your camera speed at 1/25 sec and F/7.1 for a night shot and the exposure of the picture was quite good. This is also a closeup shot. Any post proccessing works here? Would you tell us how you did it? I really enjoy the picture.

@Eric: This is a daytime shot, pp'd to night background and added some white blobs for stars, used magic wand in cs3 to form a mask then painted sky black
Interesting Peter. I think it works beautifully with the colors and tones of Big Ben, but I think I would have preferred it with out the stars. I'm not sure, I would have to see it! Very cool either way!

The picture has a nice looking so I would say it is working because you have created a nice picture. Now if your question was does it look realistic? I would say not really because of the colors of the tower which doesn't give a moon lightning or an artificial lightning feeling.

Great idea and wonderful image! Perhaps a few too many stars.

It's not doing it for me Pete. I don't think the hdr works in this instance and there's too many lookalike starts for my liking. See you down the pub sometime this week :)

@Mike: Thanks for your honesty but this is not not an HDR shot, must be good if it looks like one
It works for me Peter, I think it's fantastic! the details on BB are amazing too :)

It is interesting to look at but obviously faked so it depends what you mean by 'work'. Your masking is excellent and the idea a good one but Ben needs more contrast because he looks washed out against that b&w sky. You could also try using a different sized brush to create stars at different distances.
